Jab Industries Inc. Transforms Brooklyn Based Artist’s Home into A Modern Masterpiece

Jab Industries Inc. takes home renovation to new heights with their latest project – a complete gut renovation of a Brooklyn artist’s home. The company transformed the two-family house into a one-family, modern, and minimalist dream home that is sure to leave a lasting impression.

The team at Jab Industries extended the original floor area by building a new extension at the rear of the house, adding a terrace on the roof with a custom steel rail system and architectural details, and even incorporating a green roof with drainage systems. The natural light floods in through the full-height glass windows, while the basement was lifted to increase height allowing Jab Industries to create even more living space.

The house now boasts 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, with each of the four floors measuring 1500 square feet for a total of 6,000 square feet. The vintage red oak spiral staircase, which was refurbished and restored, is illuminated by a skylight installed at the top.

The use of the Hardie board siding system not only adds to the aesthetic appeal but also provides thermal and eco-friendly benefits, making the house durable and energy-efficient. Inside, the team at Jab Industries preserved the vintage roots of the house by salvaging and restoring vintage crown molding and wall base while modernizing the Brooklyn townhouse with amenities such as floor heating in the kitchen and all bathrooms and a top-of-the-line Mitsubishi mechanical system, including heating and air conditioning.

Custom dual-functioning tinted windows were installed – allowing them to open like doors for easy access – and a green roofing system was added to combat the heat island effect. The house was also converted to 100% electric, making it not just beautiful but also sustainable.

In conclusion, Jab Industries has successfully transformed this artist’s home into both an aesthetically pleasing living space as well as one which is energy-efficient without compromising on its modern style or sustainability.
